MacGregor Park is a passive Nature Park located at the intersection of US 31 and SR 38 in Northern Hamilton County.
The park was once owned by Shelia Beals MacGregor who loved the solitude and beauty of this 40 acre forest in central Indiana. She walked the perimeter of the land daily, enjoying every season while learning about the habits of the many species of wildlife, and birds that inhabit or migrate through this pristine woodland. It is because of her, the residents of Hamilton County and the surrounding area can enjoy a slice of nature quickly disappearing due to vast development.
For information on shelter rental, please contact the Park office at 317-574-1074.

On March 8, MacGregor Park is hosting “Go Green . . . For the Park” 5K Run/Walk to benefit MacGregor Park. Check out the fun preschool nature program in April that is free! Also in April is a class on Geocaching – a recreational activity of hunting for a hidden object by means of GPS coordinates that draws lots of outdoor enthusiasts to our beautiful park. Our Women’s Walking Group has been combining fun, friends and fitness for five years and new members are always welcome. The Women’s Running Group is another great option for meeting new people who love to run in the great outdoors.
We hope you will take some time to come out and see all that is happening at the park and to experience spring at what many call the gem of Washington Township….MacGregor Park!
Over the path and through the woods to MacGregor Park you’ll go. Bring your children outside to unplug and play in nature. Take time to discover the new growth of spring on a short nature walk. We will read a story
and do a nature craft. In case of inclement weather, check the website at www.washingtontownship-hc.us or call 574-1074.
